About Print
“Loop Head” is an original limited edition hand pulled lino print. It is designed, carved and hand printed in West Cork.
This print stretches from Doughmore Bay in Co. Clare to Ballybunion in Co. Kerry. It takes in Doonbeg, Kilkee, Kilbaha, Carrigaholt, Kilrush and Scattery Island before crossing the River Shannon to Co. Kerry. Here you’ll find Tarbert, Ballylongford, Ballybunion and all the many townlands, coves and inlets in between.
Each “Loop Head” is individually printed by hand using the highest quality fade resistant gold ink. It is printed on azure blue Canson Mi-teinte paper. This is a 60% cotton paper, acid free and conservation quality. This means that your print will resist fading, yellowing and deterioration.
Please note that your print was handprinted. This means that there will be small variations between prints, which adds to their uniqueness.
If you purchase your print unframed, it will come mounted so that it is ready to be placed in a 12x10 inch frame of your choice. The mounts that I use are lignin-free, alkaline-sized and pH neutral to ensure that they do not cause any damage to the print.
The high quality wooden frames are painted in limed white and are made in West Cork.
